Welcome!
I am so happy you are here!
My name is Amanda Schaller, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I specialize in helping people navigate the complexities of their grief experience and find joy in life again.
Individuals come to me to have space to acknowledge and process their grief experience(s), navigate heavy emotions such as guilt and sadness, and ultimately learn how to live a life where they can honor their loss and move forward with resilience, fulfillment, and hope.
I am deeply passionate and fully committed to guiding individuals to a place of health, happiness, and healing by creating a space for reflection, growth and understanding.
Together we can face the heaviest parts of life and walk forward with a renewed confidence in ourselves and the world around us.
Whether you are scoping out the scene or ready to begin your own healing journey, just know that you being here is Right On time.
My Approach
Simply put, I am trained in evidence-based practices, anchored in holistic healing methods, and compassionately person-centered in my work.
Grief Work, especially following a traumatic loss, requires a sensitive and nuanced approach that recognizes the deep connection between trauma and grief. My commitment to the therapeutic space ensures I will always utilize a trauma-informed lens in our work together.
When appropriate, I also like to incorporate humor in session, as this helps to reframe and disarm the way in which we view seeking mental health care. I have found this also reflects the duality of therapy spaces in that it can be both heavy and joyous, healing and challenging, and full of both pain and also hope.
